What a wonderful day it is. When Jesus chose His disciples, He told them to “Follow me”. These men and women were fisherman, some had families, others were professionals. In faith, they followed Jesus Christ. They did not have degrees in theology, divination, etc. They had obtained something greater, lessons from The Master, The Lord Jesus Christ. Faith is everything in the life of the believer. Without faith and grace there is none that can be saved. Without the Cross and Him crucified there is no salvation for anyone. The believer, led by the Holy Spirit, knows that Jesus is the only way. And as a believer we are to share the message of Jesus Christ to everyone. His death and resurrection grant us the power to go in all the world and preach the Gospel. The Holy Spirit will guide all who are willing and obedient to the service of God. When was the last time you prayed, the last time you heard The Lord speak to you? Be a witness for Jesus. Talk to your neighbor, co-worker, family member and let them know God loves them and if they ready and willing to accept Christ as their Savior and Forgiver of their sins. Pray with them the sinner’s prayer. Some of you would ask what’s the sinner’s prayer? How about the one you prayed when you came to know Jesus as your Savior, when He saved you and forgave you of your sins? There’s not much time left for the Lord can come at any time. Don’t put it off. You may not have another opportunity at salvation. We are not promised tomorrow, the next hour, minute, or second. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior today.
For those that are reading this and don’t know Jesus as your personal Savior and don’t know how to begin, I have this prayer you can pray when you’re alone with God, and want to know His love and forgiveness for you, sincerely pray from your heart and believe with all your mind, soul, spirit, and strength:
“Father in heaven, forgive me, a sinner. I accept you as The Lord of my life right now. I believe your Son Jesus Christ died on the Cross for my sins past, present, and future. Come into my heart and cleanse me from all my sins. By confessing with my mouth, the Lord Jesus Christ and believing in my heart that God raised Jesus up from the dead, and is alive today, because of His sacrifice and His shed blood I am saved, I am changed, I am made whole, in Christ I am made new, and now I am a child of The Most High, Amen.” If you believe what you just prayed, thank Him, and give Him praise for He loves you and has forgiven you. Now that you’ve accepted Christ as your Savior, keep Him first in all things. Pray daily. You’ll begin to change into His likeness and the Holy Spirit will begin the sanctification process in your life. There is something different about you now; it’s Jesus Christ that lives in you.
Matthew 9:37-38
Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest (lost souls, sinner’s) is truly plenteous, but the laborers (Believers, Christians) are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into His harvest.
Romans 6:1-7
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
